How we review IPTV services

Who publishes this site

Smartiflix.net is a commercial site that reviews IPTV services and recommends Smartiflix. We earn a commission when a reader buys through our links. The price you pay is the same either way, but you should read everything here knowing that we have a financial interest in one outcome. That is exactly the disclosure we would want from any site recommending something to us.

What we actually check

These are the things we look at ourselves, on the provider's own published pages, and re-check when we update an article:

• Published pricing. Whether a full price list exists before checkout, or only a teaser rate. We record the figure for every device tier and term length, and we correct our articles when the published price moves.
• Simultaneous streams per plan.The single most common reason a subscription disappoints a household. "Multi-device" means nothing until you know how many screens can play at once.
• Refund and cancellation terms. What the policy page actually commits to, not what a badge implies.
• Payment methods. Whether you can pay by a route you can dispute. Card and PayPal give you recourse; crypto and gift cards do not.
• Documented apps and devices. Which players the provider names, and whether those players are genuinely available in the relevant app store or require sideloading.
• Domain hygiene. Whether the brand publishes the addresses it operates, which is the practical defence against clone checkout pages.

What we cannot verify, and will not pretend to

Being explicit about this is more useful to you than a confident number would be.

• Licensing. We do not know which content any low-cost IPTV provider is licensed to carry, because none of them publish rights agreements. Any site telling you a $14 service is definitively licensed is guessing.
• Channel and VOD counts.Figures like "61,000+ channels" and "180K+ VOD" are vendor marketing. We attribute them as such rather than restating them as measurements. Providers frequently publish inconsistent numbers across their own pages.
• Uptime.A "99.9%" figure with no measurement window and no independent observer is a slogan. We report who claims it, not that it is true.
• Long-term stability. We do not run continuous monitoring. Peak-hour performance on your own connection is the only test that reflects what you will experience, which is why every guide here tells you to run it before committing to an annual term.

How we handle vendor claims

We try to keep two things separate throughout the site: what a provider says, and what can be checked. "Smartiflix advertises" and "the published price list shows" mean different things, and we use them deliberately. Where we have relied on a provider's own FAQ for a technical figure and think that figure is misleading, we say so rather than repeating it, which is why our bandwidth guidance cites Netflix's published speed recommendations instead of the round numbers that circulate in IPTV FAQs.

We also do not treat other IPTV comparison sites as corroboration. Sites that rank providers while earning commission on signups, including this one, share an incentive. Where we mention such a listing, we label it as advertising.

Sources we use for factual claims

For anything technical or legal, we cite primary sources and link to them so you can check our work:

• Streaming bandwidth: published speed recommendations from major streaming services, notably Netflix, rather than provider FAQs.
• Legality and enforcement: statute and regulator material for the country in question, such as 18 U.S.C. § 2319C in the United States and section 297A of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 in the United Kingdom, plus the relevant regulator (ARCOM in France, the CRTC in Canada, ACMA in Australia) and reported court decisions.
• Device and app availability: the manufacturer's or app developer's own documentation, not third-party directories.

Reviews and testimonials

We do not publish star ratings for providers, and we do not mark up review scores in our page code. Aggregate scores that a vendor reports about itself are not evidence. If you want outside opinion, use a third-party review platform where reviews are attached to accounts the vendor does not control, and read the recent ones rather than the average.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Prices change, apps get delisted, and policies get rewritten. Email info@smartiflix.com with the page and the specific claim, and we will correct it or explain why we think it stands. Corrections are made in place on the article, and the update date changes with them.
